Kayla Blackmore selected to U18 Team

Atlantic Coaching Team

MONCTON, N.B. - The Atlantic Hockey Group wishes to recognize Kayla Blackmore for being chosen to be an assistant coach for the Atlantic Canadian Female Under-18 team at the National Women's Under-18 Championship, being held this year in Huntsville, Ontario this November. Kayla will work with staff to choose a team from the four Atlantic Provinces that will be competing at the Atlantic Challenge Cup in October, with the team being announced shortly following the event.

Kayla is currently the head coach of the Varsity Girls Hockey Program at Rothesay Netherwood Academy. She also has experience coaching the U16 New Brunswick female hockey program and a participation at the 2015 Canada Games. Prior to getting involved in coaching, Kayla was a standout student-athlete who captained the St. Thomas University Women's Hockey team.

Kayla has been involved with the Atlantic Hockey Group for several years, and will be a feature instructor at this summer's POE camp. This camp will feature high level female hockey players alongside an experienced coaching staff to offer a high performance camp that will get their game to the next level as well as prepare them for upcoming tryouts. The highly qualified coaching staff brings experience from several levels of female hockey, including a number of AUS programs.

We are fortunate to be able to have Kayla as one of the feature instructors at our upcoming POE camp. For information about this camp, please click here. There are several spots still remaining.
