Lloyd Watling, a native of Miramichi, brings over 25 years of experience in skating development to the Atlantic Hockey Group. He began working with the Newcastle Figure Skating Club as well as the CFSA’s Can Skate program, focusing on working with younger hockey players. With his move to Moncton, Lloyd quickly became involved with minor hockey as well as becoming a certified CFSA Can Skate Power Skating instructor. The natural progression was the establishment of BAM (Balance, Agility, Mobility) Skating on the Edge program. Lloyd is also the official skating coach for the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Over the last 25 years BAM has helped develop better skaters from IP to Major Junior. An instructor, rather than a coach, Lloyd prides himself on studying the science of skating. He develops simple drills that are used to develop skating skills that can be used at the Initiation level all the way to the Junior levels.
We are extremely proud of our experienced team of instructors. Our coaches come from the ranks of university, junior, high school and minor hockey teams, along with ex-professionals and university players. Coaches are selected on the basis of their hockey qualifications and their ability to communicate. They are committed to giving your child a superb course of training.
