Home Spring Programs NS Developmental League Schedule

Schedule

The Developmental League will consist of 12 games and 8 hours of on-ice practice time.  The program will begin in early April and come to an end at the end of May.

Practices

The Developmental League will feature 8 hours of on-ice training designed with the objective of improving the players fundamental skills as well as developing team concepts.  Individual teams will also have the option of increasing the number of on-ice training sessions by acquiring additional ice times from the Atlantic Hockey Gorup.

NOTE: Goaltenders will take part in our exclusive goaltending clinics featuring highly qualified instructors.

Games

The 2012 program will consist of a 12 games league schedule (including 2 playoff games).  Games will take place on weekends where our teams will play two games in one day.  Our Novice and Atom Division will feature three 12 minutes stop time periods while our Peewee and Bantam divisions will play two 12 and one fifteen minutes periods.  All divisions will feature non contact hockey.

Facilities

The Nova Scotia Developmental League will take place in arena facilities in the Greater Halifax area.  Games and practices will take place at the BMO Centre in Bedford, Sackville Stadium,  Halifax Civic/Forum, St. Margaret's Centre and new this year, Cole Harbour Place.

Every effort will be made to reduce the amount of traveling time for the participants.  This will be taken into consideration when team selection takes place.  It will be our goal to group together players from a common area and have them practice at the nearest location.  Games however could take place in any of the facilities described above.
