Players and coaches from NB Camp Pograms

The Atlantic Hockey Group has always taken the lead in offering a variety of programs to meet the needs of players of all ages and levels of skills.  Programs have been designed to address the needs of the recreational player as well as those of the advanced player.  Importance is given to fondamental and advance training for forwards, defencemen and goaltenders.

On-ice training

To insure intensive and effective training, enrollment is limited.  Students will be divided into groups of six according to age and ability.  Each group will have an instructor.  The student/teacher ratio is the best available at any hockey school.  This ratio of six students to one highly qualified instructor is the strength of our program.

RATIO OF 6 STUDENTS TO 1 INSTRUCTOR

Evaluation

Students will receive a detailed evaluation of their hockey skills as well as of their attitude and team spirit.  This evaluation is designed to help the student improve his or her game during the hockey season.  Each instructor will have a maximum of only nine students to evaluate during each camp.  This ensures that the evaluation will be accurate and helpful to the student.

Off-ice training

The Atlantic Hockey Group’s program places a great deal of importance on its off-ice training program.  Our team of qualified physical education teachers has developed a training program specially designed for hockey players.  Plyometrics, speed and agility exercises, circuit training and strength training are part of this training program.  Gymnasium activities also include basketball, soccer and other fun games.
