AHG Announces New Full-Time Staff Member

Moncton, New Brunswick – November 6th – Today the Director of the Atlantic Hockey Group (AHG), Charlie Bourgeois, is pleased to announce the hiring of a new full-time team member with AHG. Michael Sanderson joins AHG as our new office administrator. In his role Michael will be responsible for supporting our coaches, parents, and players as well as overseeing matters such as company accounting. Michael replaces Kathy Matheson who will be retiring from AHG after more than 20 years of dedicated work.

Michael has extensive experience in the hockey industry, including most recently as a current QMJHL and former MHL broadcaster. Michael also brings more than seven years of radio and TV experience, including as a former QMJHL beat writer and as a regional writer for McKeen’s Hockey. He is also an NBCC graduate in accounting and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from St. Thomas University.

On the hiring, Charlie Bourgeois states that “we are very excited to have someone of Michael’s experience to join our team. Mike has demonstrated a great passion for hockey along with bringing a strong accounting acumen to the Atlantic Hockey Group. We look forward to having Mike join our team”. Bourgeois also adds “we also want to thank Kathy Matheson for her dedication to the Atlantic Hockey Group over the past 20 years.  She has made a significant contribution in allowing us to provide great hockey experiences to tens of thousands of hockey players and families. We wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement”.
