AHG Announces New Full-Time Staff Member
Moncton, New Brunswick – October 22nd – Today, the Director of the Atlantic Hockey Group (AHG), Charlie Bourgeois, is pleased to announce the hiring of Jean-Michel LeBlanc as the new Director of the Charlie Bourgeois High Performance Training Centre.
In his role, Jean-Michel will be responsible for our training sessions and off-ice work through the Charlie Bourgeois High Performance Training Centre. He will oversee our development programs and growth in our off-ice training offerings and providing support and input for our on-ice programming. Jean-Michel replaces Sheldon Drover, who will be stepping back from the role to focus on his real estate career.
LeBlanc brings the unique balance of both training experience and high level of hockey. Jean-Michel played for the Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL and the Woodstock Slammers of the MHL in a decorated hockey career. Since graduating from junior hockey, LeBlanc has conducted certified personal training, conditioning and massage therapy, and has worked to provide a well-rounded and robust approach to his clients.
“We are very excited to have someone of Jean-Michel’s experience to join our team,” Charlie Bourgeois said. “As a former high-level player at the QMJHL hockey level, combined with his qualifications and experience as a Certified Personal Trainer, Functional Range Conditioning Specialist and registered Massage Therapist, Jean-Michel will provide a unique and complete approach to the critical aspect of High Performance training. We look forward to having Jean-Michel join our team.”
“We also want to thank Sheldon Drover for his dedication to the Atlantic Hockey Group over the past several years,” Bourgeois added.
“He has made a significant contribution in allowing us to provide a strong foundation for our High Performance Training Centre which will continue to positively impact thousands of athletes in the future. We wish him all the best in his new career in real estate.”
Please welcome Jean-Michel as a new member of our team!
