CCM Academy Halifax

2021-2022 Program

The 2021-22 U9 (Novice) AAA Academy will be offered in Halifax as well as New Glasgow. This program will be geared for the most advanced players.  Scheduling will be geared to avoid any conflicts with the different minor hockey associations.  The ultimate goal of our program is to provide the proper structure and environment to challenge our advanced players in order to prepare them for competitive u11 hockey and beyond. Program participants will receive 23 hours of ice time and an NHL replace game jerseys and socks. The 23 hours of ice time will feature a maximum of 23 one-hour full ice games. Games will be two 10 and one 12 minute stop time period. On-ice training sessions may be included as part of the 23 hours of ice time. Upon receiving registration form the Atlantic Hockey Group will determine if this is the appropriate program for the student based on skill level as well as past and anticipated future level to be played for the minor hockey season. Therefore please complete the application form and forward to our office. NOTE: Alternative winter program options will be provided if it is deemed that our AAA Academy is not the correct fit. The U9 AAA Academy will include high level on-ice training as well as competitive full ice games.  The program will include one session per week taking place from October to end of March. 

The Halifax CCM Academy has been established for the advanced level 2013 and 2014 born players. The goal of the program is to challenge our players to reach the next level.

Public Health Rules

Players  & Coaches : Over the age of 12 must provide proof of full vaccination to the designated volunteer. Mask wearing is mandatory in the arena including dressing rooms and benches for coaches, masks may be removed by participants and coaches when on the ice. Access to dressing rooms no more than 25 mins prior to ice time and 25 post ice time. Participants may get fully dressed in the dressing room/do not have to arrive partially dressed. Participants may also use showers after play, but even if showering, still need to vacate the room no more than 25 minutes post ice time. Spectators: There are currently no limits to the number of spectators. Spectators must provide proof of full vaccination to AHG supervisor, wear a mask at all times, not bring any food or drink into the facility, and respect social distance as marked by signage in the arena.
