About the Program


Objective: The AHG Wildfire Relief Program aims to provide financial assistance and support to AHG families impacted by wildfires. The program seeks to help families who have suffered significant losses, including their homes and personal belongings, including hockey gear.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for assistance through the AHG Wildfire Relief Program, families must meet the following criteria:

  • Reside in an area affected by wildfires and have experienced significant property damage or loss.
  • Provide evidence or documentation of the wildfire impact, such as photographs, insurance claims, or official reports.
  • Demonstrate a genuine need for financial assistance to help recover from the wildfire's impact.
  • AHG Families with members who have lost hockey gear due to the wildfires will be given priority consideration.

Application Process:

  • Complete the AHG Wildfire Relief Program application form, which can be obtained from our website.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information about the extent of your losses, the impact on your family, and any additional relevant information.
  • Include any documentation or evidence that supports your application (e.g., photographs, insurance claims, or official reports).
  • Submit the completed application form and all supporting documents within the specified deadline.

Selection Process:

  • Applications will be reviewed by a committee formed by AHG Wildfire Relief Program.
  • The committee will assess each application based on the eligibility criteria, the extent of the losses, and the family's financial situation.
  • Priority will be given to families who have lost hockey gear due to the wildfires, but all eligible families will be considered for assistance.
  • The committee’s decision on the disbursement of funds will be final.

Disbursement of Funds:

  • Funds will be allocated based on the severity of the losses and the level of need demonstrated by each family.
  • The disbursement may vary depending on individual circumstances, but every effort will be made to provide equitable assistance.
  • AHG Wildfire Relief Program reserves the right to distribute funds directly to the families or use them to purchase specific items or services needed by the families.

Confidentiality: All information provided in the application will be treated with strict confidentiality. Only the committee members involved in the selection process will have access to the application details.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • AHG Wildfire Relief Program will maintain clear records of the disbursement process, including the families selected and the assistance provided.
